Neural stem cells are highly undifferentiated stem cells that originate in the central nervous system. These cells have the capability to grow and form neurons. These cells help in the neural repair after injury or diseases. In mature CNS, neural stem cells contribute towards neurogenesis. The proliferation of Neural Stem Cells reduces with aging.
