Gonads are the sex glands in humans, In men these are known as testes and in women these are known as ovaries. When these sex glands produce less or no sex hormones then it is known as Hypogonadism. primary hypogonadism and central hypogonadism are the two types of hypogonadism. Causes of primary hypogonadism include autoimmune disorders, Turner syndrome, Klinefelter syndrome, kidney diseases, hemochromatosis, sex organs surgeries etc. Causes of central hypogonadism include Kallmann syndrome, pituitary disorders, obesity, brain surgery, nutritional deficiencies etc. Symptoms of hypogonadism are different in both male and female.
