Short Range communication refers to communication between two wireless channels designed with the goal of automotive use. Some of its uses and applications are emergency warning between vehicles, collision control, electronic parking payments, etc. Short-range communications are mainly developed with the advancement of technology for increased safety measures for automotive use. This system is currently in use in certain European countries for electronic toll collection. It is also called Dedicate Short Range Communication (DSRC).
