In the QS World University Rankings 2014 - 2015, GIST was ranked No. 4 in the world in the category of citations per faculty. In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2014 - 2015, where GIST was included for evaluation for the first time, it was placed at No. 4 in Korea and at No. 96 in the world in the subject of Engineering and Technology.
