Helwan University was established on 26/7/1975 and is located in Helwan, Egypt, which is part of Greater Cairo, Egypt. The foundation stone was laid in 1975. Helwan University consists of 20 faculties as well as 50 research centers. Helwan University is a member of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities. HU is 350 acres located in Ein Helwan. HU (Future University) comprises 20 faculties, 58 self-sponsored units and a number of new facilities. HU is marked by unique specific faculties (Applied Arts, Art Education, and Music Education) which do not exist in other Egyptian Universities. There are also mother faculties (Fine Arts, Physical Educations for Men, Physical Education for Women, Home Economics) from which similar faculties in other Universities have been emerged. Helwan University seeks to be a leading educational and research institution in technology and arts.
