RAK Medical and Health Sciences University was the first comprehensive health science university in United States Arab country. The supreme council member Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi and Ras Al Khaimah are the founders of the University. Ras Al Khaimah is also chancellor of the university. The university is started with 22 students where as now it is with 967 students all over the world. This is the first University in United State Arab which started a 2 year Masters program in nursing and pharmacy. The Students are actively participated in several conferences that are held in the country. In addition to their academic achievements, the students excelled in extracurricular activities also. The students received awards for their presentations in the Dubai International Pharmaceutical and Technologies Conference and Exhibition (DUPHAT-2013) and 9th BITS Pilani Sports Festival. The university with all its success has been completed over a period of 8 years.
