As per available reports about 120 journals, 115 Conferences, 80 workshops are presently dedicated exclusively to Water Resources Management and about 1,070,000 articles are being published on the current trends in Water Resources Management. In terms of research annually, USA, India, Japan, Brazil and Canada are some of the leading countries where maximum studies related to Water Resources Management are being carried out. As reported in the article “Hydrological Cycle in Response to Environmental Degradation” by Zaleto Medeo, Water Resource Management is the activity of planning, developing, distributing and managing the optimum use of water resources. It is a sub-set of water cycle management. Ideally, water resource management planning has regard to all the competing demands for water and seeks to allocate water on an equitable basis to satisfy all uses and demands. As with other resource management, this is rarely possible in practice.
