• Three of recommended by IDF/ISPAD guidelines autoantibodies were
measured in our patients
• Standardized assays were used to evaluate IAA, GAD and IA2 autoantibodies
(RIA, DIAsource Immunoassays S.A. for IAA and RIA, EUROIMMUN
Medizinische Labordiagnostika AG for GAD and IA2 evaluation). Both GAD
and IA2 assays were evaluated by DASP (2005) and showed both high
sensitivity and specificity (a sensitivity of 84% and 70%, and specificity of 95%
and 100%, respectively) [49-51] |
