Absorption spectra for the drugs were obtained using a Beckman DU-500
spectrophotometer while the emission spectra were recorded on a SpectraMax
Gemini fluorometer with an excitation wavelength of 255 nm and slit widths
of 1.5 nm and a scan rate of 1 nm/s. The plotted data is the average of 50
consecutive spectra.
