Fullerene derivatives inhibit secretagogue-induced elevations in intracellular ROS levels: Mast cells were incubated overnight with FD, washed and DCF-DA added to cells for 30 minutes at 37oC. After washing cells were activated with optimal concentrations of the indicated secretagogue and the fluorescence intensity measured at 525nm after establishing baseline. Figures show duplicate samples for each condition and are representative of three separate MC cultures. All positive controls (activated but not pre-incubated with FD) were represented by red traces and all negative controls (non-activated and non-preincubated with FD) are denoted by black traces.
