Mean RV stroke volume changes immediately after successful balloon or surgical pulmonary valvotomy in newborn with either PA-IVS or critical pulmonary stenosis. At 5-days after intervention, RV stroke volume decreases by approx. 40-50%. At 19 days after the intervention, RV stroke volume increases to approximately 125% from pre-intervention value (* indicates significant change–p<0.05–from prior value).
