Cells were cultured on fibronectin-coated plates, serum-free starved overnight, and mechanically “wounded” by scraping with a Fisher-brand ready-tip. Cell monolayers were washed with PBS, treated with or without thrombin and bosentan for 6 hours, and stained by Diff-Quick Solution. The migration rate is presented as a percentage of total cells on identical nonscratch area (100%). The photographs of cell migration were taken at 2.5 X magnification.
