Figure 2: A 43-year-old woman with invasive ductal carcinoma in her right breast. She underwent a wide local excision with sentinel node biopsy. The margins were negative for malignancy. Three weeks later, the patient underwent a delayed-immediate oncoplastic reduction mammaplasty. Markings are shown. A Wise pattern skin incision with a supero-medial pedicle for the nipple-areola complex and an inferior dermaglandular flap to improve breast shape and projection were used on both sides. |
