3D Printing also known as Additive manufacturing. It turns digital 3D models into solid objects by building them up in layers. The technology was first invented in the 1980s, and since that time has been used for Rapid Prototyping (RP). However, in the last few years, 3D printing has additionally started to evolve into a next-generation manufacturing technology that has the potential to allow the local, on-demand production of final products or parts thereof. This technology is used in the fields of jewellery, footwear, industrial design, Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC), automotive, aerospace, dental and medical industries, education, geographic information systems, civil engineering, and many others

Transportation is one of the sectors that contribute to Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) emissions. In recent years, many efforts have been made to reduce Carbon Footprint (CF), particulate emissions, and cost of operation. Dual fuel technology has proven to be a viable technology since Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) becomes largely available. Nowadays, CNG is the best fuel alternative for the automotive industry, specifically for marine engines, heavy machinery, trucks, and buses for public transportation. This paper describes a novel approach to fuel consumption reduction and the optimization of the cost of operation after dual-fuel CNG-Diesel conversion for a fleet of 39 buses. A reduction in carbon Dioxide (CO2 ), emissions are reported with a reduction in smoke emission and Particulate Matter (PM) by equipping buses with an active PDF catalyst system whereby oxides of nitrogen (NOx), Hydrocarbons (HC), and Carbon monooxide (CO) emissions were 10% lower than the limits set by Japan’s current emission standard (JP05). Results were focused on the mixed fuel economy optimization using the best configuration of the CNG ratio map to be loaded in the Electronic Control Unit. Moreover, the range of the buses was increased, hence reducing stall time at pump stations. Finally, the study shows the financial advantages of diesel-engine conversion to the CNG-Diesel dual-fuel engine.
Modern aluminium alloy welding techniques like laser oscillation welding can successfully reduce weld porosity brought on by the physical and chemical characteristics of aluminium alloy. Since it has a significant impact on the mechanical qualities of welded connections, the weld area is frequently used as an evaluation index of geometric attributes to assess the welding quality. In this paper, a method for predicting the weld area for laser oscillation welding of 6061 aluminium alloy is proposed. The cross-sectional area of the weld is computed using image recognition technology from the metallographic micrographs of welding trials, and the inaccuracy of the recognised weld area is less than 8.8%. Additionally, alternative prediction models for the weld area are created by machine learning methods, such as linear regression, under varied process circumstances.
This article examines the current state of research and development of intelligent technologies for underground metal mines in China, where such technologies are being developed for use in the development of mineral resources in a safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly manner. We analyse and summarise the state of research in underground metal mining technology in the United States and abroad, including specific examples of equipment, technology, and applications. We introduce the most recent equipment and technologies for unmanned mining, including intelligent and unmanned control technologies for rock-drilling jumbos, down-the-hole (DTH) drills, underground scrapers, underground mining trucks, and underground charging vehicles, all with independent intellectual property rights. For intelligent and unmanned mining, three basic platforms are used: the positioning and navigation platform, the information-acquisition and communication platform, and the scheduling and control platform.

In this article, a new algorithm for searching Mann-Whitney minimum spanning tree in a critical path network having fermeatean pentagonal fuzzy soft edge length is presented. The proposed algorithm is based on matrix approach to design un-directed fermeatean fuzzy weighted connected graph. Also, we provide numerical example to check the validity of the proposed algorithm using score function and accuracy function.

This paper deals with power quality and more specifically, voltage flicker in power systems. Voltage flicker is one of the disturbances in power systems. This flicker mainly occurs due to nonlinear loads. The magnitude of the voltage flicker solely depends on the type of electrical load that is producing the disturbance. Voltage flicker can also occur due to voltage sag and/or voltage swell in the system. This voltage sag can generate inrush current and this current passes into the sensitive loads in the distribution system.
