Blood glucose and body weight of rats were recorded at the beginning and end of the 30 day treatment period; experimental groups involved saline treated (group C)or polyherbal formulation treated (group C+P) control groups; streptozotocin at a dose 60 mg/kg of was used to induce diabetes which were then treated with eithersaline (group D) or polyherbal formulation (group D+P) for diabetic groups.
