The history of SBCTA be confused with the expansion of the food industry and the emergence of the first food engineering courses in Brazil. The proposal to create the SBCTA "born" on another continent, in a document signed in Warsaw by Andre Tosello and Walter Santos while performing in August 1966 , the II International Congress of Food Science and Technology.
