We glad to have Wildlife Sanctuaries Worldwide as a media partner for 4th International Conference on Biodiversity, June 15-17, 2015, Las Vegas, USA.

WSW aims to raise awareness about wildlife sanctuaries around the world; their people, their animals, their passions.
It also aims to connect wildlife writers and photographers willing to give their time to help.
Finally, it plans to become a label that will be awarded to those sanctuaries and projects which, according to our criteria, have excellent ethics and are working towards creating a sustainable future for their community and surrounding wildlife.

WSW is a registered not-for-profit organization with a long term vision. It first aims to enable writers who are deeply passionate about wildlife to use their skills in a new and innovative way in order to help raise awareness about good and ethical wildlife sanctuaries around the world.

WSW writers travel to sanctuaries and rehabilitation centers to study a wide variety of ambitious wildlife projects which provide an opportunity to wild animals to survive, when they would otherwise not be able to. WSW helps maintains their community through giving work to the local people and letting the world know about what they are doing.

Our journalists and writers travel worldwide, to give sanctuary owners and wildlife projects initiators a helping hand during their stay. They shadow them for several weeks to get a really thorough understanding about each particular situation: who they are, what is taking place, what they do. They then put pen to paper, producing articles destined to be published on the WSW website and blog as well as in English and in French newspapers and magazines the world over.

To put it simply, what WSW aims to do is to tell the stories that need to be told. Park owners, volunteers, the local community, and of course the animals that are being rescued, kept and released will all go under careful scrutiny.

Over the next few years, WSW will work towards becoming a worldwide brand or label that people around the world can identify with, showcasing the places we have been to and written about and why they are important.

"As much as WSW desires that all animals be able to live freely, in their own natural habitats, we are well aware of the increasing need for ethical and sustainable sanctuaries that give animals a safe and secure home so they can live in the best conditions possible. We want to raise awareness about such places, about the animals that are being cared for, and about the people helping them achieving this goal", Mahina Perrot, freelance wildlife journalist and Founder of WSW.
