If the RFI values were above 150% and 200% for CD86 and CD54 expression, respectively, it was considered that the test chemical enhanced CD86 or CD54 expression, and it was shown as a “+”. If the RFI values were always below 150% and 200%, it was concluded that the test chemical did not enhance CD86 or CD54 expression, and it was denoted as a “–”. If either CD86 or CD54 was enhanced, then the chemical was defined as positive. If neither CD86 nor CD54 were enhanced, then the chemical was defined as negative on the h-CLAT.
