Figure 2: Age-matched patients and controls were compared for CD4+CD25highFoxp3+T cell numbers in peripheral blood. Patients were sampled at three different times (T1, T2 and T3). The controls were sampled once. A significant difference was found between controls and patients at the first time point (T1). There were no differences at the later time points (T2 and T3). A continuous decrease in CD4+CD25highFoxp3+T cells number was found throughout treatment.
