Figure 4: Alkali induced corneal neo-vascularization (CNV) and histopathology. Paraffin sections of control mice cornea were stained with hematoxylin and eosin (Left panel). After 14 days 1.0 N-NaOH induced cornea of CNV displayed increased neo-vascularization (arrows), uneven thickening and many stromal fibrocytes were observed (Middle panel).
