Note the severely damaged trabecular meshwork with loss of trabecular cells and fusion of the trabecular beams. Hematoxylin-eosin (HE) stain. 3b: The Schlemm’s canal was normally open. Toluidine blue staining. 3c: Trabecular cells and endothelium of the Schlemm’s canal seemed to be normal. 3d: Immunohistochemical staining of CD68 detected positive cells along the collector channel (CC).
