Figure 8: Viability of the hNSCLC cells after 5-dAza and rotenone treatment. Viability was measured using the MTT assay after 48 and 96 hours of the cell culture exposition to 5 μM 5-dAza and/or 1 μM rotenone. 5-dAza and rotenone alone reduced significantly (p < 0.05) the rate of proliferation of the lung cancer cells whereas the simultaneous application of both the compounds partially abrogated the toxic effect.
