Figure 8 :The effects of imeglimin on soleus and gastrocnemius glucose uptake were investigated as described in Methods. Muscle glucose uptake by soleus and gastrocnemius were reduced in STZ compared with control rats (ooP<0.01 for both muscles). Imeglimin significantly increased glucose uptake (**P<0.01) at the lowest dose and restored normal glucose uptake at 50 and 100 mg•kg-1 (*P<0.05 and **P<0.01 respectively) in the soleus muscle experiments, and significantly increased glucose uptake (**P<0.01) at the lowest dose and restored normal glucose uptake at 50 and 100 mg•kg-1 (**P<0.01 at both doses) in the gastrocnemus muscle experiments.
