| Table 1: Effect of different carbon sources (YN: yeast extract; SS: soluble starch; PP: potato peels; AD: rhizomes of Arundo donax; CC biomass of Cynara cardunculus) on A. amylolyticus growth and amylase production after 24 h of incubation at 60°C in SmF conditions. The values are the average of two assays. Significance was determined by t test for all media versus YN complex medium and for each medium respect to the other media.
