Figure 1: A schematic illustration of the miR126 NIR MB for imaging miR126. The miR126 biosensor formed a stem loop-structure DNA oligonucleotide and had Cy5.5 (absorbance/emission wavelength: 675/694 nm) at one end and BHQ2 at the other end. In the absence of miR126, fluorescence emitted by the Cy5.5 was absorbed by BHQ2. The presence of miR126 induced the binding to the loop and caused the hairpin to open, resulting in the recovery of fluorescence signal. |
