Hemolytic assaya: ‘+’ - hemolysis with a clear zone of 1-1.5 cm, ‘++’ - hemolysis with a clear zone of 1.6-2.5 cm, ‘+++ - hemolysis with a clear zone of 2.6-3.5 cm. BATH assayb: ‘+++’ - cell adhesion > 90%, ‘++’ - 60 to 89% cell adhesion, ’+’ - 40 to 59% cell adhesion.
Values in () near ‘+’ sign are the number of positive strains in that category. Values in () near bacterial name are the total number of strains isolated.
