Overall, similar macrophage activities were observed around BAG and ß-TCP granules. However, temporarily increased foreign body giant cell (FBGCs) accumulation was observed after implantation of hASC seeded ß-TCP granules as compared to BAG granules at week 4. G1 – G4 = groups 1 - 4; arrows with asterisks indicates statistical differences between BAG and ß-TCP.
