Figure 3: Histological and Scanning Electron Micrographs (SEM) of cellularized and decellularized hearts. Hematoxilin and Eosin (A and C) as well as Masson`s Trichrome Staining (B and D) were performed, in order to show structural and cellular aspects of cellularized (A and B), as well as DM (C and D). SEM (E and F) also demonstrates the contrast between partially decellularized matrix (E) and completely decellularized one (F). SEM also shows structural preservation of DM (F). |
