About the COBCM:
 
The Association of Biologists COMMUNITY OF MADRID (COBCM) is a public corporation nonprofit. It was created by Decree 157/1998 of 10 September of the Community of Madrid (BOCM of 9/17/98).
 
The Statute of the COBCM, approved by the referees at the General Meeting of April 27, 2000, were published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid on June 19, 2000 by the Resolution of 2 June 2000, the Technical Secretariat of the Ministry of Presidency and Finance. The General Meeting approved collegiate different modifications of the statutes at its regular session in April 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
 
The COBCM has professional representation in exclusive biologists in the territory of the Community of Madrid, where they are based, and acts as a meeting point for all professionals in the field of biology (health, environment, education, research sectors , industry, etc). 
 
The COBCM seeks to enhance the professional development of the members, open new areas of work and defend the competence of biologists in various professional activities that are proper. This defense of the professional interests develops both individually and collectively, in both the private sector and the public.
