Physical dependence is the state of the body when it becomes so dependent on a drug that the body cells cannot function without it. Withdrawal may lead to complications ranging from headache, vomiting , nausea to delirium, convulsions etc. substances which are capable of producing Physical dependence should not be stopped suddenly but the dose should be lowered gradually.
