GALP neurons send outputs to orexin- or melanin-concentrating hormone- (MCH) containing neurons in the lateral hypothalamus (LH) and receive inputs from orexin neurons in the LH and neuropeptide Y neurons in arcuate nucleus (ARC). GALP-containing neurons also co-localize with alpha-melanin stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH)-immunopositivity. 3V=third ventricle.
