The levels of creatine kinase (CK), aspartate aminotransferases (AST), alanine
aminotransferases (ALT) and gamma glutamyl transferase (GGT) were checked
both before the start of surgery (baseline) and at the end of surgery (1-1.25 hrs for
donors and 5-7 hrs for recipients). An additional mid-surgery sample (2-2.5 hrs)
was also sent for analysis in the case of recipients. Normal values for Yorkshire
swine are provided in parentheses in the first column. |
