Figure 3: MBP-primed Th2 cells inhibit the expression of iNOS and IL- 1β in PolyIC-, gp120-, Aβ-, and MPP+-treated mouse primary microglia.
Primary microglia received different concentrations (T cells: microglia; 0.2:1, 0.5:1) of gem-treated MBP-primed Th2 cells. After 1 h of contact, culture dishes were shaken and washed three times with HBSS to remove T cells followed by incubation of adherent microglia with 100 µg/ml poly IC, 200 pg/ml gp120, 2 µM fibrillar gp120 and 1µM MPP+. After another 5 hr of incubation, the mRNA expression of IL-β and iNOS was analyzed in (A) PolyIC-, (B) gp120-, (C) Aβ-, and (D) MPP+-treated mouse primary microglia.
