Figure 1: Dosing regimen used in these studies. For rats used in urodynamic studies superpubic catheters were inserted in the bladder and initial tracings taken after 3 days and again at least weekly until tracings normalized. Upon entering the regimen rats were given 10 mg/kg glyburide (Gly, p.o.) the evening before and the morning of injection (-16 h and-4 h, respectively). LPS or saline was injected (200 μl) into the bladder wall and Gly administered again after 4 h and 16 h. 24 h after injection rats were analyzed according to the various methodologies described.
