Scaffolds had 37 parallel tunnels that made the honeycomb shape. 37H was prepared with a special nozzle device as previously described [6]. A paste of hydroxyapatite powder was extruded through a multi-nozzled disc, in the form of multiple rods, into a condensation space of taped conical tubing. The cylindrical products were sintered at 1,000°C and cut to the required lengths. |
