Figure 18: Effect of Na2SO4 concentration on retention of fourth group dyes ([dye]=50 ppm, P=4 bar). It is observed that adding of salt caused increase of osmotic pressure and that conclude in decrease of retention of dyes and by increase of salt more than 80mM because reduction of dye solubility, retention of dyes increase.
