Figure 1: Umbilical cord derived MSC suppress both healthy and lupus B cell proliferation. Healthy and lupus donor CD19+ B cells were collected from MSC coculture assay after 96 hours of incubation. B cells were stained with B cell specific antibodies and analyzed by flow cytometry. Proliferation of CD19+ B cells was measured by CFSE dilution. Data are mean ± SEM. Statistical comparisons were performed using two-way ANOVA with Bonferroni posttest. *p≤0.05; n=5. Experiments were done with 5 healthy and 5 lupus donors and 2-3 different MSC lines.
