Relative risks, 95% confidence intervals, and p-values result from Cox proportional hazards regression models. Relative risks correspond to presence of the given characteristic (categorical variables) or the increase given in parenthesis (continuous variables). All variables with p-value ≤ 0.10 in a single variable analysis were included in multivariable analysis (# used= 776) except serum total albumin because of the large number of missing information (# missing = 290) with this variable. IABP= intraaortic balloon pump. RR=relative risk. CI=confidence interval. NI= not included in the multivariable analysis. N/A= not applicable. PRVTXDIF= time difference between re-transplant and previous transplant.
