The lungs of animals receiving only LPS (non-treatment group) were infiltrated in large or disseminated in small areas, to some extent livid discolorations and hemorrhages were visible. These symptoms were much less prevalent in the lungs of the animals receiving LPS plus BMDPC (treatment group).
