Figure 5: PTEN expression is regulated by deacetylation. a) MDA-MB-231 and MCF7 cells were treated with Trichostatin A at a concentration of 100 nM. Cell lysates were subjected to western blotting. Blot shows PTEN expression. Ethanol was used as vector control as Trichostatin A is dissolved in ethanol. VC – vector control. b) MDA-MB-231 and MCF7 cells were transfected with siRNAs against MTA1 or negative control siRNA. Cell lysates from these samples were immunoprecipitated (IP) with anti-pan-Ac antibody, and then probed using anti-PTEN antibody. The expression of PTEN, and tubulin was analyzed by Western Blot analysis.
