Typical symptoms & Therapeutic aspects
Iron-deficiency anemia is manifested by the signs of reduced Oxyhemoglobin in skin or mucous membranes and the symptoms of fatigue, lightheadedness, and weakness. None of the symptoms are sensitive or specifically known. Pallor of mucous membranes in children indicates anemia with best connection to the actual disease. The diagnosis and treatment of Iron Deficiency Anemia are discussed with emphasis placed upon consideration of patient specific features. Each cycle consists of 5000mg of oral elemental iron ingested over at least one month with appropriate follow-up.
