There are no epidemiological studies of orthostatic hypotension (OH)/hypertension (OHT) and orthostatic dizziness (OD) in adults across all age groups. Neurogenic orthostatic hypotension (NOH) is a rare subtype caused by underlying neurologic disorders that affect a specific part of the autonomic nervous system. An aggregate of 119 patients in 4 wards were considered for the study. An aggregate of 43 (37.1%) patients were rejected, and 76 (62.9%) patients were enlisted for the study. Enlisted patients' mean age was 67.8 ± 19.6 years. A quarter century of the 43 rejected patients were not able to expect a standing position upon the arrival of the study for different reasons, including extreme torment and spinal safety measures. Just 1 (1.3%) patient met the criteria for hemodynamic unsteadiness. Different purposes behind avoidance understood refusal or resistance (9.1%), status in the working room or quick postoperative period (15.7%), vindication (6.0%), release (1.3%), and different reasons (4.6%)

Neurological disorders can also be caused by orthostasis. This usually takes the form of a transient ischemic attack (TIA) precipitated by a blood pressure drop. The diagnosis of orthostasis is made by finding that the systolic/diastolic blood pressure drops at least 25/10 mm mercury on going from lying to standing. After measuring the supine blood pressure, it is recommended that one should have the subject stand for 2 minutes (if tolerated) before measuring the upright blood pressure
