Ad Yussuf

Dr. Yussuf, AD joined the employ of the Kwara State Government as medical officer II and had at various times worked in Okenne and Mopa (both in Kogi State), and Sobi Specialist Hospital (Kwara State) till 1993. He later joined the residency training in the department of psychiatry of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, and finished the Fellowship training in 1999. He Joined the service of University of Ilorin in 1999 as Lecturer I and became a senior lecturer in 2006. Dr. Yussuf is currently a Consultant Psychiatrist with the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital and a senior lecturer in the department of Behavioural Sciences, College of Health Sciences, University of Ilorin. He has attended several workshops and conferences (locally and internationally) where he has presented research papers. He has also published many high quality research works in reputable national and international journals. He has at various periods been the Acting head of the department of Behavioural Sciences at both the Teaching Hospital and the University sides. He is currently the acting head of the department. Awards: He was awarded Certificate of Merit by Lagos State School Management Committee in 1981. As a resident, he won the Outstanding Resident Award for Excellent performance in postgraduate medical examinations by the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital in 1996, Life membership award by the Association of Resident doctors, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital branch in 2000, and European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) award in 2008.
