Biography
Ademe, Arega Shumetie is an Ethiopian who was born on April 29 in 1983 in East Gojjam zone, Addis Alem village. He attended his primary education in Tikildengay and the junior secondary education in Sedie primary and junior secondary school. He then continued his high school education in Motta senior secondary school. After passing the national exam in 2001, he joined Addis Ababa University Faculty of Business and Economics in 2002 for attending his undergraduate study and graduated with B.A degree in Economics in 2005. From October 2005 to July 2006, he was junior instructor in Agarfa Agricultural and Technical Vocational Education Training (ATVET) College. Starting from August 2006 up to January 2008, he was junior Economist of Bale Agricultural Development Enterprise. He was then an Economist of Tendaho House Development Project in Afar, Dubti. He joined Haramaya University in October 2008 for attending his post-graduate studies in Agricultural Economics and graduated with MSc. degree in June 2010. Arega was instructor in Haramaya University College of Business and Economics Department of Economics up to September 2012. Starting from October 2012 he is PhD candidate in Haramaya University of Ethiopia and Makerere University of Uganda based on a mobility program of INTRA-ACP.
