He is currently working as a Professor in Dairy Institute of Asturias, Spain. His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study. His research interests reflect in his wide range of publications in various national and international journals.
His research interest includes Milk and milk products, including detection, molecular identification and prevention of pathogenic microorganisms, development of probiotics products and the effects of microbial and cellular counts in milk on the overall quality of dairy products. Studies on toxins produced by molds (mycotoxins) and their residues in dairy products are also conducted, as well as the risk assessment of the mycotoxin exposure in the human diet.
