Dr. Ami R Patel has received his PhD in Dairy Microbiology from Anand Agricultural University during the period of 2012-13. Currently, she is working as Assistant Professor at Mansinhbhai Institute of Dairy and Food Technology College affiliated with Kamdhenu University, Gujarat State, India.
Her research has included characterization of potential probiotic lactic acid bacteria and quantification of their exopolysaccharides. Based on this research and fellowship training she has received several awards and honors, such as: Vice chancellor gold medal in PhD selected as BiovisinNxt fellow to attend conference at Lyon, France (2011) and granted Erasmus Mundus scholarship from EU in 2009.
She is serving as an expert Reviewers for journals like Journal of international medical research, applied microbiology and biotechnology and Food research international. She has authored 13 peer reviewed research articles. She is a member of Indian Dairy Association (IDA) and SASNET-fermented foods.
