Biography

Dr. Amit K. Maiti is a senior research scientist at OMRF, Oklahoma City and continues to work on genetics and drug discovery of autoimmune diseases, cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Amit received his Ph.D in yeast Molecular biology from Jadavpur University (Bose Institute), Kolkata, India. Dr. Amit was postdoctoral studies comprised on genetics of left-right asymmetry in human in CRBM, France and Geneva University of Medical School in Switzerland with Prof P. Bouvagnet and Prof. Stylianos E. Antonarakis respectively. Dr. Amit moved to USA and worked on genetics and drug discovery in ovarian and lung cancer in University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston with Prof. S. Mitra. . Dr.Amit has over 57 peer reviewed publications. Dr.Amit research interests include Multidrug resistance in cancer is an overwhelming problem in cancer. Dr.Amit developed a novel strategy to overcome drug resistance in cancer.
