Andrea Kovacikova Curkova

Biography

Dr. Andrea Kovacikova Curkova is a European board certified dermato-venerologist since 2012. She has completed her residency in dermatology and venerology at the Department of Dermatology and Venerology, Comenius University Faculty of Medicine, Bratislava, Slovakia. She is in her last year of PhD in the research topic Psoriasis and Comorbidities at Comenius University Faculty of Medicine in Bratislava. She is involved in various research projects on psoriasis in the role of a sub-investigator. She has been active in presenting lectures at national and international meetings. She has published several papers in reputed journals and won multiple awards for young dermatologists, such as: the Excellent Case Presentation Award at the Weill Cornell Seminar in Dermatology in Salzburg, Austria, and she has been awarded the Michael Hornstein Memorial Scholarship at the 19th EADV congress in Gothenburg, Sweden. She is a member of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology.
