Anthony Ofoma

Biography

Dr. Anthony Ofoma graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka with a B.Sc Hons in Geology, M.Sc in Exploration Geophysics and Ph.D in Applied Geophysics. He has been in the Oil & Gas business for over fifteen (15) years and has worked on various occasions at the following establishments, the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute, (NBRRI) Lagos, UptonVille Oil & Gas Institute, Getamme Geochem, Multinational Geosurveys, Shell Petroleum Development Company as a research intern and the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Chair UNN before joining Halliburton. Anthony has published over sixteen (16) articles in both local and international journals and presented more than twenty (20) technical papers at Geoscientific conferences. He has also reviewed manuscripts for learned journals and presented topical papers at geological societies of some institutions in Nigeria. Anthony is a recipient of (1) the first position prize of the 2005/2006 prestigious NMGS/TOTAL ELF Award, (2) among the top four winners in the NAPE Mini conference held at ABU Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria in 2006, (3) a 2009 Landmark-Halliburton Services Employee of the Year Nominee, (4) a recipient of the 2010 UNN Student’s Chapter “SPE Award of Excellence”, (5) a recipient of the 2011 Anambra State University NMGS Student’s chapter “Award of Academic Excellence”, (6) Recipient of the Landmark-Halliburton Maximizing Value-added Performance (MVP) award 2013, (7) Recipient of the 2014 Ebonyi State University NAPE Student’s Chapter “Award of Excellence”. (8) In 2015 Anthony took home all the Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa (ESSA) Landmark sales awards which includes “Best Deal Maker for ESSA Region”, “Landmark Winners Circle” and “100% Revenue Performer”.
