Prof. Dr. Aydin Sav has received his pathology degree in Istanbul University Cerrahpasa School of Medicine during the period of 1981-1985. Currently, he/she is working as a member of tenure in Acibadem University. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as Department Head of Pathology and various tasks both in Marmara University (1989-2008) and Acibadem University (2008-2013). His research has included pathologic basis of brain tumors; diagnostic tools in neuropathology, molecular biology in neurooncology and pituitary pathology. Based on this research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honors, such as: experimental stroke models; diagnostic neuropathology. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like Journal Neurological Sciences (Turk); Journal of Neurological Disorders; & expert Reviewers for journals like Histology and Histopathology; Turkish Journal of Pathology; Journal of Neurosurgery (Turk). He has authored 300 clinical neuropathology and neurooncology, pituitary pathology articles and 30 chapters in different books. He is a member of Turkish Pathology Association (member), (1982- ); 2. Ankara Pathology Association (member), 1985-); 4. International Society of Neuropathology (member), (1991-); 5. Turkish Dermatopathology Association (member of editorial board), 1992 -1998). 6.
